About Me

I was born in Istanbul in 1972. I graduated from Kabataş Erkek High school in 1989 and Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1995. In 2001, I completed my orthopaedics and traumatology residency at Vakıf guraba training and research hospital. I have completed my compulsory service as an orthopaedics and traumatology specialist at Bozüyük SSK hospital. Then I started working at the Foundation Gureba hospital again. I served as the emergency manager of the same hospital from 2004 – 2005. In 2006, I worked as a fellowship in orthopaedic oncology arthroplasty and deformity in the department of orthopaedics and traumatology at Istanbul Medical Faculty. I continued to work at the same hospital until 2010, and I was assigned to Okmeydani Training and Research Hospital in 2010. After working for six months, I was appointed clinical chief at Samsun Training and Research Hospital after winning the chief clinical exam opened by the ministry of health. In September 2011, I received the title of associate professor by winning the associate professor exam in the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology. In the first six months of 2012, I worked as a clinical supervisor at Ümraniye Training and Research Hospital. Between 2012 and 2021, I worked as a faculty member in the department of orthopaedics and traumatology at Istanbul Medipol University. I held various positions as an administrator at the same university. I worked as a board member of the Turkish Association of Orthopedics and Traumatology (TOTBID) between 2015, 2016, 2019 -2021. Since 2021, I have continued as vice president of the same association. I have 121 articles indexed nationally and internationally and more than 200 oral and poster presentations at national and international congresses. I have written chapters and translated various books. I have often worked as a meeting chairman, secretary and speaker at national and international meetings. In my clinic, I continue my clinical studies on arthroplasty, orthoporthopaedicogy, stem cells, and deformity. I am married and have two children.
